Born in Ohio, Aaron grew up in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls. Upon graduating from the University of Akron with a degree in Business, Aaron moved to San Francisco and began his career at Gap, Inc. It was here, from 1993 to 2007, that he honed his craft for building some of the most successful business ventures in the retail industry, including the launch of Product (Red) for Gap; created best-selling assortments of Men's and Women's apparel; and worked directly with many of the most talented leaders in retail, including Mickey Drexler, Charles Schwab, and Steve Jobs to name a few.
After 14 years and incredible professional growth at Gap, Aaron relocated professionally to Anthropologie, based in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
While holding multiple leadership roles at Anthropologie between 2007 to 2015, Aaron helped transform the identity of the company and grow it into the international success that it has become. During his tenure at Anthropologie, the company achieved record growth in revenue, profit, and public recognition through his creative collaborations both internally and across the globe. Known as a successful leader, smart risk taker, and developer of talent, as the Chief Merchandising Officer, Aaron pushed the boundaries of the business model and introduced many new businesses to the portfolio of the brand while growing the e-commerce business to well over $1 million per day in net revenue and the Anthropologie brand to over $1.6 billion in annual sales.
Following an inspiring eight years surrounded by some of the most creative talent in the world, Aaron returned home to San Francisco and embarked on his most entrepreneurial endeavor yet. The opportunity to lead Amour Vert, a new and modern DTC brand focused on delivering a socially-conscious and sustainable product, proved to be the perfect challenge for Aaron's next chapter in his career.
In 2016, Aaron joined Amour Vert where he successfully transformed the small wholesale brand into a world class, digitally native, direct-to-consumer and retail organization. As CEO, Aaron led the company through a period of rapid growth, ultimately growing the DTC business 18X in just three years by using a data-centric customer acquisition model to build exceptional customer lifetime value. This approach coupled with efficient omni-channel retail growth and strategically expanding product categories transformed Amour Vert from an item-driven business into a digitally native sustainable lifestyle brand.
Aaron currently works with brands, providing leadership, vision, and clarity in large scale business environments during times of change and uncertainty, ensuring effective management of people and resources in the face of challenging circumstances. He is a Member of The Board of Advisors at Atomic D / Magicbox World, a San Francisco-based creative strategy agency focused on branding, video production and campaigns to market & advertise innovative brands, advising on fundraising activities, business governance and direction for future growth.
